These attempts are counted even if you hit cancel before you reach the required number, for example, say that you know a 15 lvl artifact needs 20 attempts to upgrade, if you hit upgrade, count 19 attempts and then cancel, if you hit upgrade again you’ll get the upgrade in your first try. You’ll be happily surprised to see that it works 100% of the time! Test a few items like this offline, make a note of how many attempts it takes and then go back online and test your findings. If it gives you the error on the first attempt that means that you’ll get an upgrade on your first try. The game then will try to do the normal procedure and fail a few times before pausing for a second and then giving you an error message because of the lack of internet access. You can test this very easily by running the game, disconnecting from the internet, and hitting the “Upgrade 1 level” (make sure to ONLY use the “Upgrade 1 level” button and not the “Upgrade” button because the latter is disconnected from the predetermined attempts completely) button on an artifact of your choice. So to explain how this works, first, you need to know that each artifact has a predetermined number of required failed upgrade attempts before it’s actually upgraded. (I’ve only tested 5 and 6 star items of levels 10 to 15, as those are the ones that interest us the most). After a few attempts, I think I’ve “solved” it, at least to the best of my ability. Looking for ways to optimize my silver spending during the last artifact upgrade event I happened upon his Reddit thread and dove into it experimenting to discover all the details. Today we’ll be expanding a little on the discovery made by Reddit user u/vodka7up a few months ago. Hello everyone and welcome to my Red talk.
